Years ago I had an old version of this mount but I left it on the machine I sold. Then I bought a clone of this mount and used it for about 6 months until the elements ruined it. So I replaced that one with this real one. I didn't realize how much I missed him. This is the most durable lip brace I have ever seen. The bracket is fixed when you tighten it. When I say tough, I mean it's so tough that you flex the lid before the thing moves. The coax cable is very thin and goes to the SMA where it connects to a rig adapter. This principle makes it very easy to run a coax cable as you are not trying to send a pl259 or n type through your panel and you do not have to remove and replace the connector. I'm not sure what kind of coax it is and I don't know how much loss it has, but I don't use it for DX either so I don't care. This thing is really great and worth every penny.
