Update 2020 I still use these hair towels and still love them after 3 years. Now I can tell you that it worked, I'm using my first towel to this day. So that makes them very economical IMHO and I never have to deal with wear issues. I still recommend these π―%! I've been using and loving the 100% cotton Turbie Twist hair towels for a long time, but the towels keep tearing where the elastic loop is. This fraying happens quickly. As far as durability goes, it's not that bad. My hair is very fine and thin layered, it just touches my shoulders. So twisting the Turbi because of the pin is ridiculous, we're not talking about pinning or over-stretching a ton of hair. So I decided to try this towel, wow! I LIKE IT! The first impression was incredibly soft. This towel is beautifully fixed using the traditional twine method. A simple tail lining or clip easily secures the towel. There is no clasp, no bow, no buttons and I absolutely love it! I find it absorbs just as well and the size is perfect for my head/hair. Well if you have thick waist length hair I don't think this will work for you, that's just my guess. I need a lighter towel or wrap because I have terrible neck arthritis and regular towels are too heavy. I also have a chronic condition where fluid runs out of my nose if I lean forward too much. It's just perfect! Not too heavy (thanks), works well and looks luxurious. I'm addicted, I will never go back to the turbo twist.
