Terrible smell! - Air filter and accessories

I spent a little more on this filter hoping it would be better than my previous cabin filter... When you turn on the AC you immediately smell a strong plastic smell. It's been a week and the smell is still the same. I will return this item. If you don't mind a weird smell, go for it, but the whole idea of changing the filter is to get a fresh smell.
