Excellent (as soon as you touch your hands)

I really like this chair. This is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I expected. I also looked at this chair again and found many reviews about it in another shop where it was sold at a slightly higher price. Surprisingly, most of these reviews were enthusiastic and included many details on which my purchase was based. Now I am going to tell you about it in more detail so that you also know what to expect when considering this chair. Some things you might want to know: - Yes, there is a smell when you open the box. It was probably the packaging material. It had already dissolved less than an hour after assembly. - This is NOT a lounge chair. In fact, there are warnings about it right there. Don't try to lean back too far because she won't lean back. To me, that's not a deal breaker; I prefer to sit upright and find it quite comfortable. - The chair is rated for people weighing no more than 250 pounds. - You will not drown in the cushion of this chair. It's kind of a style constraint. This chair is not real leather and therefore the materials are not as durable as real leather. The quality of the fabric is consistent with other faux leather furniture I've had. No better and no worse. - One star deducted due to noticeable (though by no means insurmountable) difficulty in fitting the brackets correctly. Assembly instructions: I have a lot of experience with flat and "assembly-needy" furniture. It wasn't nearly the worst build I've ever had (although, as mentioned in the title, the hands were difficult). I was concerned when I opened the box and didn't find a pouch or anything with the fittings, but it turned out that the fittings were already in the chair. You must remove the screws before you begin. So here's what you'll need to assemble this chair: a Phillips screwdriver and some elbow grease. If I had to do it all over again I'd put my hands on first because arranging the parts in the order in the instructions turned out to be pretty bad. This is because the seat cushion presses quite hard on the wood of the armrests. Once everything is assembled there is no problem, but I had trouble putting it back in place manually while tightening the screws. Again, I built this myself and I'm a small person. If I had a boyfriend it would be easy. But all said and done, including the time it took me to lug the box up three flights of stairs, it took about 40 minutes. Overall, I feel like I got my money's worth with this chair. At this price, it can't be beat for style. The details are very good and if you don't look closely it looks much more expensive. It looks very stately in my home office, it rolls smoothly and the armrests are in the right place for typing. All in all I would buy it again and recommend it as long as you understand that you are buying cheap furniture. You won't get an heirloom for less than $200, but if you know what you're buying and treat it appropriately, you won't be disappointed.
