Review on Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS25 - Rugged 16.1 MP Digital Camera with 8x Intelligent Zoom (Black) by Anuson Rachso ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is top notch, be sure to try it.

It is worth taking for video in 4k if you need to write large volumes without interruption. For such tasks, I think there is still no competitor for this money (with interchangeable optics). It is quite possible to take pictures if you do not need high resolution. It is easy to order external power supply, additional batteries and other accessories from China.

Pros
  • Ergonomics on top, the correct location of the buttons. Compact size, light weight, which is important when shooting with a gimbal / stadycam. An excellent swivel screen, the viewfinder is also good, it helps a lot when shooting on a sunny day. Flexibility of settings. Continuous video recording, limited only by the size of the flash drive / battery charge, regardless of the format, I have never managed to overheat the device in 4K, I shot for 4 hours without a break, which is very worthy. Good built-in matrix stabilization, especially true with inexpensive manual lenses without a stub. The time-lapse mode is ideal, given the electronic shutter and the ability to auto-shutdown the camera if the breaks between frames are long enough (but nevertheless I advise external power for long TL). You can write to large flash drives (as far as I know, 512 GB flash drives are supported, and maybe more capacious ones). Excellent adjustable dynamic range.
Cons
  • Insufficient bitrate in FHD when shooting video (in 4K 100 megabits is ok). Weak in-camera JPG (but RAW stretches well). Weak resolution for photos, of course it's more of a video camera. The contrast autofocus is weak, although in normal light and in FHD mode it works well for the face / eyes.
