Review on Standard Motor Products ALS1574 Sensor by Josh Parson

I bought this sensor for my Tribeca and wanted to fit it. The spring tabs on the upper bracket broke when inserted into the mounting hole in the frame rail. I had to salvage the latch from the old sensor. Also, the rubber grommet is too small and hangs in the hole it snaps into. The sensor works (no ABS or traction control warning lights). I used to expect the SMP Intermotor line to be a genuine OEM part or a high-end equivalent. Unfortunately these are no longer visible. It was necessary to use a Subaru part, in this case it is not much more expensive.
