Review on πŸ“· Peak Design Black Slide Camera Strap SL-2: Ultimate Support and Comfort for Photographers by Alexandergraham Visoro

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It bends easily. Impractical to put in a bag. Strong and comfortable. Something to recommend.

β€”β€”β€”-Updated 6/19/2018 The strap kept folding and became awkward to use and especially awkward to store. I came back with a fantastic PD life and warranty and they sent me a new version of the sliding belt. Unfortunately, I had trouble placing the band anywhere other than a table or flat surface where the new band would also not bend. I have to be very sensitive, either just leave it there or carefully hang the camera on the hook. Well I'm trying to "hack" it somehow but it doesn't seem to be working. The new strap keeps flexing too, but I laid it flat hoping it would go away. β€”β€”β€”Original review on 09/03/2016 - this is an amazing strap and system. I use it with the Peak Clutch strap at the same time as the Peak Slide strap. Both work very well. The strap is made from a material similar to a car seat belt and can be slid for better manoeuvrability. There is some elastic on the back if the strap needs to stay in place. I'm a big guy and use it as a shoulder strap, but I think the strap could use about 3-4 inches more of the strap for more adjustability, but that's picky. The band works very well and appears to last for decades. The good thing about strap buttons is that they can be easily swapped out when worn, making the strap more versatile for attaching to multiple cameras or for other uses. Highly recommended.
