The strap slips off but everything else is fine

I like this strap because it seems like a lot of effort has gone into its design, but my strap has a fundamental issue that limits when and how often I attach it to my camera. The buckles that secure the strap at the correct length will not work and will allow the strap to slip through the buckle, causing your camera to sag lower and lower over time. Not a big deal if you're just standing in the same spot and taking photos, but becomes a major annoyance if you're hiking or walking with a camera

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

great idea, poor implementation. bad design.

great concept. terrible performance. I love their Lens Grip Kit so I thought it was time to try one of their straps. Unfortunately, this is much less useful than the first. It can be called a slide as it almost doesn't hold up. For some reason the handle is on the outside of the belt. and two extremely thin "capture" lines do nothing. So if you carry it on your shoulder it will slide off unless you pull it across your body. Handle is completely useless. I want the full side to hold up like most

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • communication with the seller

Very practical for large cameras

This belt changed everything for me. I've been using the straps that came with my camera for a long time without complaint but after seeing some reviews I decided to try this strap for my 5D which is a little heavy with the glass attached. As a landscape photographer, I often travel miles to take pictures, so it's become much more convenient for me to have my camera ready but not rub my neck. There are several ways to attach the strap. You can do this using both regular strap attachment points,

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Quality all round gear

I've used it for several hikes and walks around town. It is very comfortable. The camera (I use a full-size DSLR) works stably when walking due to the point-to-point connection. In comparison, the camera shakes more on my BlackRapid Sport system, which only attaches to a tripod socket. I can't say that one system (Peak Design or BlackRapid) is better than the other. They are different and personal preferences dominate. A few comparisons: Peak is easier to put on and take off and easier toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

โ€”โ€”โ€”-Updated 6/19/2018 The strap kept folding and became awkward to use and especially awkward to store. I came back with a fantastic PD life and warranty and they sent me a new version of the sliding belt. Unfortunately, I had trouble placing the band anywhere other than a table or flat surface where the new band would also not bend. I have to be very sensitive, either just leave it there or carefully hang the camera on the hook. Well I'm trying to "hack" it somehow but it doesn't seem to beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some issues

Redesigned by Millennials, posted on Kickstarter Camera Strap

Hipsters Launched on Kickstarter? That sentence alone sums up everything that's wrong with America today. I really wanted to hate that camera strap. I mean I really wanted to write that strap sucks. But I can't because it's a damn good product. Peak Slide is of high quality and at a reasonable price. It has many thoughtful features that make the strap comfortable, convenient, and easy to use. Is it perfect or the holy grail of camera straps? Oh no. But it's pretty good. It is roomy and canโ€ฆ

Thoughtful and flexible design

The combination of anchor links and quick connectors is at the heart of a thoughtful and flexible design. You can use these anchors and connectors not only with the wide, adjustable collar/belt, but also with the narrower leash and hand strap also sold by Peak Design. The material of the strap is very light and strong: some compare it to the seat belt material for what it looks like. It folds up quite compactly and packs away in the small pouch that comes with it: the upside is that it can beโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Volume
