Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Reliable Cooling Solution: Lasko 16-inch Oscillating Pedestal Fan for Home, Office & Dorm Use by Brittany Smith

Assembled and Quiet Buzzing Fast

Living in a small log cabin, getting air into the sleeping area has always been a problem. In what I call the "Hallway" I have a ceiling fan taking care of that area. As temperatures have increased in Vermont over the past few years, I've been thinking about buying a small air conditioner. They wrote it off as a waste of electricity and money. Eventually I decided it just wasn't practical for the small amount of cooling I was going to get. So the search began for a fan that I initially thought would be a small standing model. Found this one and the base expands to 48 inches vertically, which is exactly what I needed (but didn't realize). Pleasantly surprised by the ease of assembly of this oscillating fan. I'm visually impaired and didn't want to call my neighbor for help. The instructions were clear and concise, and the writing was dark enough for me to read. This little fan was assembled in no time and "buzzed". Being a light sleeper, I also wanted the fan to be almost silent but with a directional airflow. This has exceeded my expectations and can also be left stationary if desired. The fan also has a choice of 3 speeds. Slow, medium and fast, and the noise level does not increase with higher speed. So far so good, and of course, as soon as he arrived, the nighttime temp dropped into the high 40's instead of the mid 70's. Don't worry, it will come in handy later this week when the daytime temperature is around 90. Will update if there are any issues. Highly recommended. Winter and .GASP., turn on a small electric heater for those really cold nights. This fan hummed all summer and did a great job on my log cabin. There are no problems with this.
