Size table doesn't say anything about shoe size. I measured my calf to get the right size. I also have women's shoes in size 10. The insole is not very flexible, which causes the reinforced heel to press against the back of the arch. I would say that the average size does not correspond to a women's shoe size larger than an 8 (or maybe even smaller). And I would hardly call the real calf/ankle compression 15-20 mm Hg.
