I have a Philips FR965 home theater but it broke down 2 days ago. I've had the system since 2001 or 2002 and have used it all the time. I used it every day for TV, movies, CDs or music from my phone or iPod. I played my music really loud while I was cleaning the house so I could keep going and stuff like that. I'm devastated that my receiver expired. Now I buy another one of the same kind for all the A/V connections and such. Also, I still have the speakers that came with my old receiver and I'm having a hard time finding a receiver that performs as well as this but doesn't cost more than my entire system cost me over 10 years ago. I love this receiver and my 19 year old son said he loves it too and even put a FB status saying it was his introduction to 5.1 surround sound and now he's crying because the receiver is dead is. So now he's ready to start looking for someone else. I can't blame him because we're both missing out on something terrible. If you want something that sounds good, that's not bad considering it's considered low-end.
