In the summer, a colleague's 17-inch Elitebuk 8770w suddenly died and I had to urgently knock out a replacement. Due to purchasing and accounting troubles, for speed, I had to choose not from Sinkpads, but from Idiopads with their subsequent bringing to mind by installing memory and drives. As a result, we bought Lenovo IdeaPad V340-17 (81RG000KRU, 17.3" 1920x1080 (Full HD), Intel Core i5 8265U, 1600 MHz, 8 GB DDR-4, 256 GB SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 620, DVD-RW, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cam, without OS, gray) - the price-quality ratio for the seed is excellent. A 1Tb SSD Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series (MZ-V7S1T0BW) and DDR4 32Gb 2666Mhz Samsung were bought for it, after which I began to make a server software developer's mobile machine from it. The main surprises began during the upgrade: I take out 8 GB DDR-4, put 32 GB - silence and flashing lights. I take out 32 GB, put 16 GB - silence and flashing lights. I take out 16 GB, put 8 GB - it starts. I take out 8 GB, put 16 GB - silence and flashing lights. I take out 16 GB, put 8 GB - silence and flashing lights. I do a reset - it starts. Having had fun for 2 hours, I was ready to give up, but a colleague, apparently in an insight of intuition, in the phase "32 GB and blinking" took and pressed Ctrl + Alt + Del. Idiopad hiccupped and booted up. I won’t write about the 1Tb SSD Samsung 970 EVO Plus for a long time - despite the pink thermal snot, it overheated in this construct so that I had to return the regular SSD and install the 1Tb SATA SSD Crucial MX500 - this suited my colleague quite well for Arch, Eclipse and Tomcat. Since then everything has been working properly.
