I bought this tool specifically for the spaetzle and it was amazing! I used to use a slider that looks like a cheese grater. It was messy and painful and I never liked how the spaetzle turned out. When I was in Germany the other day, I saw this spaetzle press style everywhere. So I happily ordered it when I got home. Many reviews of similar products said they had issues with the bottom disc exit. This one doesn't have that. There is an inner sleeve holding it. The dough squeezed out a bit at the top, but 90% got into the mold. The rest easily slid off the clamping part of the tool back into the cup. Overall I saved at least 50% time with this gadget compared to my old spaetzle maker and cleaning was very easy. All parts are dishwasher safe. The most important thing: Spaetzle turned out perfectly! I used a teardrop hole insert. Next time I'll try the big round one too to see how it differs. Overall I am very happy with this product and think it was a great purchase.
