It has been a long time since I found a book on pattern making that I found as fascinating as this book. Fit, commonly called Slopper, what do you do with them? Most of the designs I see on the street, in catalogs and in stores are so easy to make that the design process is not complicated at all. But there are a few designs that make me scratch my head and think, 'How did they do that? "I call them "pattern puzzles”. This book is full of those drawings. Each is unique but beautifully illustrated and explained in one to three pages. Tomoko never shows more than three pages of illustrations. How to make even the most complicated and unusual design is a form-fitting bevel. I love seeing her use the women's beveled bodice, which I now use in my online modeling courses.
