Review on ๐Ÿ”ฅ Hedman 69680 Uncoated Standard-Duty Hedders - Set of 2 by Boondo Viswanathan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy to install Inexpensive

Comes with blocking plate if your car doesn't have an air pump (I didn't have one). The passenger side manifold is a ball bushing with no seal and the driver side manifold is a 3 port manifold. Consult Hedman for correct application. I installed this on a 2004 Suburban AWD 5.3 along with heavy duty Flowmaster coils and exhaust pipe. Pros: Easy to install. Cheap, for some reason they only cost $140. Came with most of the necessary hardware. not smooth and had a few spots that needed sanding for a proper seal. Coating burns fast and stinks, wife thought the truck caught fire The sound of the truck doesn't seem to change at all Manifold bolts on the passenger side were too short and had to be replaced. Instructions such as torque specifications, which screws and washers with what and for what were missing for some. layered styling and wasn't long before I had an exhaust leak. Overall they are ok, wasn't expecting much but I don't feel any difference in performance. But then again, this is a 3-ton family car with less than 300 hp. I would recommend penetrating oil on your bolts a few days before you are ready to remove the stock exhaust if you live in a salt belt. None of my bolts were difficult to loosen, but the LM7 seems to want to keep the exhaust manifold bolts while you can remove their heads.
