How to install/replace the door (with photo)

This worked right out of the box with no issues other than replacing the door. Minus 1 star for being too cheap to include a small piece of paper with instructions on how to remove the door and no installation instructions (let alone a video) on the Streamlight website. [as of July 2015] My pain is your gain! Here's how: TO REMOVE THE DOOR: 0) Examine the battery door carefully. This is necessary to find the plastic protrusions and to see how the loop returns after removing it. 1) Lower the metal tab all the way down like you are replacing the batteries. Open the door in this step, but you can do it. 2) Locate the two plastic protrusions [bumps] on either side of the hinge pin. 3) Slide the small hinge pin toward the smaller protrusion. small tab, use needle nose pliers to pull pin out. -- You can also use a small hook or small screwdriver to push the pin through. 5) Remove the door to attach the new door: 1) Mount the light and make sure there is something supporting the door. "If you're skilled, just use your hands to hold the light and door in place." 2) Try to mount the door as close to the hinge as possible. -- You need to draw a straight line from the hole to the pin hole. 3) Using pliers or any tool of your choice, press down on the pin and push it through the next hole. -- If the hinge doesn't fit perfectly straight, you'll need to adjust it to align the pin with the 2nd hole 4) Center the hinge and you're done. A NOTICE. I noticed that the new door was much harder to close. TO CLOSE A NEW DOOR: --> DO NOT FORCE! <--1) Simply slide the door in from the bottom until it goes over the edge and sits in place. 2) If you are looking directly at the bottom of the door, make sure it is centered exactly so the gaps on either side are perfectly symmetrical. .3) Now shove the door shut until it visibly slams shut, but if you feel like you're doing it forcefully, step back and try again.

Pros
  • Industrial switch
Cons
