Bought a new micro camper that was 'solar ready'. Bought a panel from another manufacturer and found the plugs were not compatible, in fact the panel came with battery clips and no plug at all. After some research I decided to do this and when it arrived I just cut the mc4 connectors, wired it directly to the panel (via the built in charge controller that came with the panel) and plugged it in, took some readings and it worked as intended. Great solution for my situation and worked as I had hoped.
