The only issue I had was with the lid but someone posted tips on opening/closing the edge of a coin. This is a must for people with periodontal problems as the bristles are very soft and cover all sides of the tooth down to the exposed roots. Very gentle yet effective in deep cleaning and the 30 second timer allows you to properly clean each quadrant and finish in 2 to 2 minutes. You won't find this on store shelves. Great price too. The company does an excellent job with your questions and concerns. I recommend using rechargeable batteries so you don't open the lid latch too often.
