I wanted a snug fit (shoe size 9.5, 5ft 9in 165) - I would choose Large/XL if you are 9.5 or taller. Pros: - Super comfortable neoprene material fits like a second skin - Compression doesn't affect ankle movement in any way. The gel pad will definitely save me from bruising and unnecessary damage while perfecting my shots. gets lots of compliments - Fits under my shin guards when I need to use both Cons: - Although I like black I would prefer complementary colors I prefer to use them for all mat work as well The compression really helps my ankles and I don't sweat anymore , I like this product.
