I'm a big fan of Shun knives. They stay sharp for a long time, but sometimes need to be resharpened. I usually just ship it back to Shun, but it takes a while to ship back and forth. I was thinking of using wet whetstones but I'm not experienced enough. I've seen this on Shun, maybe it's perfect for their knives. As soon as I received it, it looks beautiful. Excellent quality. But after trying it with my Shun chef's knife, I felt it was just like any other 3-step sharpening tool. This is not specific to Shun knives. I mean for what it is it's decent quality. But not what I expected for the price. I would recommend just getting a different brand of 3 stage sharpening tool. Save some money. Or just ship it back to Shun to have it sharpened to perfection if you're not in a hurry.
