Review on HIC Brands that Cook Nylon Mesh Strainer, 🍳 7-Inch: A Must-Have Kitchen Tool for Efficient Food Straining by Shannon Taylor

No "thin " meshes!: Kitchen & Dining

This strainer is decent, it's good for plastic. However, the holes in the net are huge! About the same size as your standard strainer with a porcelain lid. I bought this in high hopes that I would have an easy way to strain quinoa and make nut milk. Well, the quinoa falls right through. Technically, the strainer still works if I soak the quinoa first so it swells, which is an incredibly annoying inconvenience that turns my seeds into liquid measures. I'm not even going to try making almond milk with this thing, I already know the disaster that can happen. Be aware that the web is nowhere near as good as the product photos suggest. Big disappointment. Guess I'll buy some paper towels to line my colander as another reviewer suggested. *sigh*
