I purchased the camera quite some time ago; I had no intention of switching because the camera more than justifies the expense. This camera was ranked 42nd out of the most popular pictures on when I looked it up. Pros include that the camera is well-built, the designer did a good job, the photos are of very good quality, and it operates on batteries (although this will not surprise anyone). The primary benefit that distinguished this technology from its many rivals was its Japanese provenance. Cons: The equipment was subpar, possibly extremely subpar: there was no bag and only a 16 MB card, camera, instructions, and a CD with extensive instructions. Yet, I didn't go to the store in general hoping to get a freebie and I didn't even think about such a trifle (the bag cost 200 card 400).
