Review on Tire Michelin Primacy 3 215/55 R18 99V by Stanislaw Szczesny ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nothing special, there are positives and negatives.

This is the third set of Michelin tires I have purchased. So there is something to compare. Before that, there were Pilot Exalto and Pilot Primacy series in the dimension 195/65 R15 91V. Now I bought Michelin Primacy 3 in dimension 225/45 R17 94V. Car Skoda Octavia A5 FL. I've been using it for 1.5 months now. described the pros and cons. Very, very surprised that the Michelin "sang" so strongly at speeds from 120 to 140 km / h. Before that, this was not observed on tires of this brand. I thought that after running the singing will disappear. But no. I have already skated 2500 km, and they both sang and sing. This fact lubricates the whole impression of the purchase :( I am very disappointed with such a jamb, and therefore lowered the overall score. I think that I overpaid money for Michelin in vain. For the future, I decided to take a closer look at Korean rubber.

Pros
  • 1. Good road holding (no slip, good braking, no yaw) 2. Quiet on good asphalt up to 120 km / h (on bad, any rubber makes noise) 3. In the rain, hydroplaning is very weak 4. Good workmanship (I have tires made in Germany) 5. The sidewall is not very soft (most likely due to the load index of 94), which is rather a plus for low-profile rubber
Cons
  • 1. From 120 km / h to 140 km / h, the rubber sings very strongly. Didn't expect this from Michelin at all. 2. A rather high price, which mainly depends on demand, and not on cost 3. It is better not to drive on a wet primer, the tread is not intended for dirt at all. I rarely do this, so this minus is not critical for me.
