I bought this as a backup drive. Only 26% of the time an I/O error occurs when copying files. The drive is no longer recognizable to my PC, although it is still connected. I safely eject it, plug it back in and it sees it but still can't copy items to it. I'm running a disk error and it's taking FOREVER to fix. Try again, you will encounter the same problem. I've tried reformatting, it seems to work, but the transfer rate is lower than my mechanical drive. 3.5 Mbit/s, what?! Too slow and 1/2 times my computer doesn't recognize it's plugged in. returned it
