I took this laptop for myself specifically in order to start writing a dissertation on it. This is my first Apple product. While everyone is happy, there are no comments. Has some pros Nimble, lightweight, versatile - for home and travel. Fits in any of my briefcases. With all my non-resource-intensive applications, it copes perfectly. The screen is great! The touchpad is an order of magnitude better than all other laptops. Cons: Only two USB type C - it's not critical for me. Transferring all information from an old computer to a new one is a problem. Perhaps not the best and most comfortable keyboard. On the old laptop it seemed to be more comfortable, but maybe this is a matter of habit.
