Review on πŸ”Œ Sintech M.2 NGFF 28Pin SSD Adapter - Read SSD in MacBook 2013-2015 Year M-Key Slot | Desktop Use Only | Height 10mm by Scott Reeves

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A+ restored my 256 additional Apple Pie SATA drive. Linux dual boot now

Easy install If you're the techie like me but I see some people don't get it right the first time thinking you put the drive in the bracket first and then attach it to the computer, but doing it that way will block everything you need to screw the bracket into the motherboard to keep it stable, so actually screw that in first then pull one hand tighten the carrier nuts and then insert the last bolt to hold everything in place. Once you figure it out, it's literally a 30 second install and reboot, then format your hard drive using a Mac if you don't want to use it as HFS and you have an extra hard drive for your computer. It will not, I repeat, it will not start on nvme m. 2 speed is a Satta adapter that runs at around 500 megabits per second, not 3500 like most nvme drivers in native m.2, so before you buy, be aware that the Apple drives it supports was developed, are not nvme drives and are m drives. For pcie sata drives which are much slower than nvme

Pros
  • Hard drive accessories
Cons
  • Big and bulky
