I have a full beard and a shaved head, so my biggest shaving need is a daily comfortable shave on my dome. An electric razor just can't get as close as a blade, simply because of the material separating the blades from your skin. However, this razor gives me 90% silky smoothness, which is enough in most cases. I use shaving powder to reduce friction and it helps to get as close a shave as possible without shaving irritation. There is one blemish on this razor that doesn't seem to cause any problems. The six outer heads are hinged and snap into place, but the center head has 3 tiny hooks that snap into place when rotated. For some reason this head ALWAYS unlocks but doesn't fall off. Check out my photos, one shows the head in a locked position and the next has it unhooked. The difference is tiny. I think the reason it stays in place is because the other 6 heads overlap it a bit, which seems to be enough as long as they keep their concave shape. If you watch my video you will see that the head falls off when pressed against a flat surface. Tip: The friction test will have you shaving again and again, even when the razor gets as close as the razor will allow. Instead of wasting time and effort, LISTEN to hair cutting. The tone will change when you're done.
