Don't let the Marples name fool you. There is nothing special about this set. The stone is so porous that I used up the whole bottle of oil in it and I still need it. I wanted to use a stone for my axe, but that's junk. The only reason I bought this set was for the sharpening instructions. I thought I'd get the stone for free. Haha well this is how the guide works after posting it in fashion on YouTube. BUT, if you overtighten it, the planer blade will warp. And I couldn't insert the 1/8 bit properly. The roller is made of graphite or something soft. It wears out very quickly and I don't expect it to last long. I only use it to clean up my blades after sharpening them many times so it should last a while. However, if you intend to use it frequently, you might want to look for something more permanent.
