The case is protective but not too bulky or heavy. You can fold it back or turn it into a triangular stand to hold your iPad in landscape mode, which is great for desktop setups. The material of the front of the cover is a very durable, textured, high-quality plastic that offers reliable protection. The back is a different type of plastic that hugs the sides and corners well and holds up well, with very precise button cutouts and seems to offer some drop protection. The only downside to the design is that it doesn't support pillow portrait mode for upright reading. But he thinks he's so cheap, reliable and well thought out that I'm very happy with him.
