I have used this to spray hydrogen peroxide to help with my sinusitis and fall/winter bronchitis before it happens. I've used filtered well water and hydrogen peroxide with no problems. Just make sure the nozzle is attached properly and has a good seal and isn't leaking. I take it apart after each use and let it dry. I don't have to rinse it out because I only use filtered water and 4:1 H2O2. This thing is tiny compared to what I expected which is great. I usually use it on mains, but once I only used it with a battery. Batteries are not interchangeable as they do not have access to the included battery so yes it does come with batteries. I've had it not long ago so can't say how long it will last, but for the price.
