I bought it because it was a cheaper version of the universal liquid lighter. I don't hate this product in any way, if you're buying it for easy use in things like candles it's perfect for you and I recommend it. But I don't really feel like it will last long with anything else. The end where the "fire" actually ignites gets very black and hot. I also noticed that the strings break off from the surrounding space? Not sure what they are, but they clean up right away with the little brush that comes with it. It doesn't come with a protective cap to cover where it glows (which I prefer, especially after I found out it gets a little warm), but it does have a safety switch with a power button. I have to press the button about 5 times to light a three wick candle because it goes out mid-light. And the noise that other reviews complain about doesn't seem as loud/bad as the video reviews indicate. I haven't tried charging it, but I'll update this review if I run into an interruption. I would buy them again, just probably from a different brand. But overall I really like it and would recommend it for small things and light use.
