Overall very attractive lights - they look great despite giving off a warm yellow light give off, not "warm white" as stated in the description. In fact, I prefer their warm shade of yellow to white - it's cozier. I was also pleased to note that the cable is made of fairly clear plastic rather than opaque white or frost. I was worried how they would look on the wall when they were off - a transparent cord keeps them from an eyesore when they're not glowing. The decently long power cord also makes it easy to position them where I want them without the need for an extension cord. However, they have one major drawback that made me rate this 4 stars instead of 5: the location and appearance of the little black controller box. It attaches to the top carrying cord of the lanterns with a very short cord, making it impossible to position without looking unsightly. It's a highly visible black box that hangs directly over the center of the wall and cannot be detached without damaging the cable's wiring. Totally baffled why they didn't realize most people don't want to hang a black box on the wall and gave it such a short cord - it needs more length to reach the floor and be hidden. Also, you have to go through all the motion settings to get to Always On. Trouble, but no big deal. I hope that it is possible to put this box in a better position with an extension cord.
