I received this IVETTO 3.0 USB hub as a replacement for another brand that was just starting to give me problems. I connected an IVETTO USB hub to one of my laptop's USB 3.0 ports, and then several devices are connected to the IVETTO hub, including external hard drives and a wireless mouse. I use the remaining USB ports to connect flash drives or whatever else I want to connect. I also use one of the USB handheld intercom charging ports so instead of the supplied data cable that came with IVETTO I just used the data/charge cable I had lying around and it works great. Not all my external hard drives are USB 3.0, but this hub is backwards compatible with USB 2.0, so no problem. Finally, I like the LED indicators that let you know if a port is active and the ability to enable/disable a port with a switch. Great product at a great price!
