I bought this in November 2017 to back up my laptop's hard drive. This is a very small, high-capacity external drive. All good things end here. Shortly after buying it, he froze. I couldn't save/copy documents or back up anything. I called support. I noticed from the start that the representative didn't want to redeem the guarantee. In the end, he connected remotely and, after relatively long unsuccessful attempts, offered to replace it with a restored one - I refused; I paid for a brand new one, why would I accept a refurbished one. Almost two years have passed. Well, I don't know exactly how long, but I do know it took over two hours to fix the problem. Since then he has stopped working several times. I noticed tonight that he hasn't made any reservations since June. In any case, I managed to get it working again - I don't know how. I worry that one day I won't be able to go to work and I'll have to entrust the disk with all the documents to a stranger. This is the second Western Digital product I've had problems with. So I'm thinking of another brand to protect my data - I'll do a little research before buying. I do not recommend Western Digital products.
