Great if you want to switch on and off each day to stay connected

Totally disappointing. The attitude was fine. It took a few tries to properly negotiate the initial connection to my router, but once it was up and running, the range was excellent, as was the speed. I was happy for 3 weeks. Then all connected devices could not access the internet. A quick power off and on again solved the problem after a reboot. Then I was fine for another 2 weeks and had to turn the device on and off again to access the internet. Then it went like this for 1 week. Then every 2-3 days. Now I have to disconnect and reconnect it every day when I get home from work to allow the connected devices to access the internet. Ridiculously annoying since (1) it has such a long range that most of my devices would rather connect to it than directly to the router, only to have a useless connection to an expensive night light with no real internet, (2) it's up in the corner of my bedroom, so I have to walk up and down the stairs to turn it on (at least it would be a good cardio workout if it weren't for the stress and irritability this unnecessary device creates), and (3) I work hours away from home and need to access my devices remotely which are losing connection due to this extreme frustration. become useless junk by the end of the return period. It's sad because when it works it's absolutely wonderful, but daily food cycles are unacceptable. This isn't my first bad experience with a Netgear device, but it will be my last. I'm done with your products. D-Link, Asus and Linksys/Cisco proved to be significantly more reliable. It was a silly move for Netgear since I know their products have always had connectivity issues for me in the past, but I figured I'd give them another try after a decade of avoiding them. Now I avoid her all my life. I recommend others to do the same. I'm an advanced PC builder and sysadmin with over 20 years of experience and have yet to find anything worth my time with the Netgear name. I hope this helps at least one person avoid this headache.
