My daughter loves these shoes. She's in the phase where she likes dark colors and this stylish gray shoe is perfect for her. I've worn a lot of Columbia running shoes myself and I was hoping for the same high quality from them. They aren't as durable as my hiking boots but still pretty good. These shoes are very light and typically only last a year. In any case, children's feet grow quickly. Lace without a tie makes her childish, so she didn't like it. We replaced it with regular laces.
