I have struggled with green algae in my hair for a very long time and nothing has been able to control it. I've tried "boiling" my stone (google it's not what you think it is), I do 20+% water changes every two weeks, I've tried Phosban, phosphate based flocculant and nothing has worked. I've switched from MicroBacter7 to Prodibio Bio Digest and I'm finally seeing a significant reduction in green hair and red slime algae. In fact, after about a month of treatment, they almost completely disappeared. takes a bottle. If you have severe problems, stop using more vials, just use them more frequently as directed. The normal dosage is one vial every 15 days, but I have a high biological burden. I increased the frequency to one bottle per week which has helped. Since I have a heavy duty skimmer I would also suggest dosing the vodka which feeds the good bacteria in Prodibio. I hope this review helps others who are struggling with the same nightmare.
