I didn't want to cut big holes in the boat seats for six and a half inch speakers so I had to stick with 5 and 1/4. I was planning on spending a little more money and was almost afraid to buy them because they were so cheap. But the specs and ratings were pretty much the same as other speakers, so I decided to give them a try. I am very pleasantly surprised. They sound very good on my pontoon boat. They get as loud as I want to hear them and I don't notice any distortion or interference. I'm sure there are better speakers out there for a lot of money but these fit my needs and sound pretty good to me. They can't be beat for the price either.
