This is a rugged, portable thumbtack antenna of the type supplied with home stereo systems in the 80's and 90's. When opened, it has the shape of the letter "T". You can't go wrong with this proven design. It has an F-type connector, similar to what works with cable TV. It's just an adapter so you can connect it to something like a weather radio, which is what I use it for. Especially with the Sangean DT-400W. It works "just fine" with weather frequencies and it takes a bit of work at my house to get the antenna right, but it's perfectly fine. It picks up FM music radio stations very well on the same radio it's designed for. Since it already had an F-type connector, I removed the plug adapter and plugged it into the second floor TV to see if it would pick up channels. Although I've tried many different positions I haven't been able to get hold of any TV stations, but it's still off-label so I'm still completely happy with it.
