Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Stealth 350VR Amplified Gaming Headset - Enhanced Bass Boost - Mic Monitoring - PlayStation VR + PS4 - PlayStation 4 by Mark Bennett

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Was disappointed with the overall impression of the headset. Too much like a toy.

From the picture it looks very well made - a decent product for the price. I thought it looked a lot more "mature" than some of the other Turtle Beach headphones. Also, the ratings for the Revain were pretty high, 4.5+, so I had pretty high expectations for this headset. When I received it I really wasn't expecting how cheap this product would feel in the hand. It surprises me. I wanted to put the headset back in the box and send it back without even trying. It's made almost entirely out of plastic, even the headband. It was cheaper than a regular $20 headset. I also didn't like the way the earbuds rotate, the all-plastic mount felt flimsy and brittle. The sound quality is pretty good. I never realized how much bass is in the soundtrack and special effects of most games. The conversations were pretty clear too. No complaints here. I like that the microphone and cable can be detached and the headphones can be placed horizontally. This feature makes it very easy to carry the headset in a backpack. I think Turtle Beach should have marketed this headset as a travel headset with a molded protective case. If TB made it, I can understand why they chose to make it out of lightweight materials. I think it would be a fair price product if it came with a holdall. In general, I feel uncomfortable with the headset. I feel like I need to be extra careful for fear of breaking it somehow. And my general expectation is that this headset will be lucky enough to last 2 years. And it's not the kind of product I'm used to - I don't like the idea of replacing items in the near future. You can't base a purchase on photos and good reviews.
