The best advice is easier to apply cold.

Put in the fridge and use cold. (Heats up quickly) When it's cold, it's easier to cut with scissors. Clean the scissors with mineral spirits/paint thinner when dry.

Attention, eternabond comes in different thicknesses

I recently bought more eternabond tapes. I used it to repair my TPO roof. I was very happy with the tape but my last order wasn't as thick as previous rolls. I noticed that the price was a bit cheaper. When I first started using it I found it to be a lot thinner than the previous rolls I had bought. The size was the same 2" x 50 feet. I noticed the part number was different than what is shown in the picture. I had no idea it was a different thickness. All my previous orders have been thicker…

Excellent solution for installation and repair!

Looks like this tape will NEVER come off my trailer! This is the "stickiest" material I've ever used. I bought it to mount the new flexible thin solar panels I bought on the roof of my caravan. It's easy to trim, but be VERY careful when you start peeling the backing off the adhesive! Do it little by little and be careful with leveling. Once he touches something, it's almost impossible to change position. However, now that the panels are in place and secured, I'm not afraid of them coming…

Works with van parts and accessories

This wonderful stuff fixed my leaks. I have a 2006 Trailmanor (aluminum roof) that has a view of the entire length of the roof. I had small leaks and couldn't pinpoint the exact cause. I ended up removing the trim from the center seam and replacing the whole thing with Eternabond. It's easy enough to put on and not too difficult to work with. Be careful when installing! Walk slowly and be careful. As soon as it touches something, it's there! It is almost impossible to pull back even a tiny…

The stickiest things in the world

I found a seam on the top of my mini camper when going from a smaller size to a larger one. Tired of constant leaks, I researched tapes that could seal the seams. EVERY 5-star review pointed to EternaBond. There are fake straps available for a fraction of the cost - and reviews say the strap will curl and the like which comes with a cost saving. So I figured since I spent money on the camper, I'll spend the money protecting it. It's the most STICKY rubberized sealing tape I've ever seen and…

Fiction! suitable for cleaning and maintenance

Absolutely excellent material. I bought a 26ft trailer with some roof damage. I removed all front and side panels, tore off about 30% of the rubber roof, replaced the plywood, sealed all the joints and reattached the rubber roof with contact cement. After the roof was put back on and all the skin was properly attached I cleaned everything very well, dried well and then used this tape (with primer) on all the front, back and side edges and through each top seam of the roof. I used 2 wide strips…

It's forever - what's not to like?

I am renovating my mobile home this summer due to severe water damage. I may be overdoing it with Eternabond, but there's something so reassuring about how securely this tape sticks to fiberglass, painted surfaces, and rubber. Very easy to use - it's quite stiff so it's easy to control and position, it doesn't fall on itself like most bands because it's stiff enough not to... I want it. I wasn't sure if I should go for 2" or 4" but decided on 2". If it needed to be wider I put the second strip…

Great product for serious leakage problems

I have found this tape to be an excellent solution for repairing a hole or tear in our camper van's rubber roof membrane. I have tried other gasket materials with satisfactory results. When we had a large tear at a campground after driving a trailer under a low tree limb, I used this tape to seal the gap. I was so impressed I ordered more to replace the sealant on the ends of the roof where it connects to the aluminum trim. I've had leaks in this area twice. After resealing with this tape…

Use it on the top corner seam

UPDATE: March 2018 eternabond has been on my trailer for about two years now and all areas where I have applied eternabond are holding up very well. No hacks or leaks. I've raised this rating from 4 to 5 stars because it's so convenient. I have a 1999 Northwood Nash trailer. It doesn't leak as far as I know, but I can see that some parts of the roof, particularly the front and back seams and around the front and back corners, look problematic. I have researched various ways to solve this…
