I bought an indoor putting green and loved playing with it. I'm not a very good golfer and I'm severely lacking in golf skills, other than playing miniature golf. Now let's talk. No way would I take it to a practice class, I look embarrassed enough, but for home use I'm in. When I combined this with my indoor golf course, I really started to improve. Of course setting it up on the covered lawn required some skill, I mean I couldn't use tees to hold it in place so I used tall knobs. It wasn't nearly as strong as the teas would have made it, but being able to use it in privacy was worth it. lack of skills. I mean I had everything I needed to improve and while I showed improvement there was still plenty of room for more; and in no way was my inability to learn. Also, consider my ability on the miniature golf course with good old clubs, and that left my fancy putter with the oddly curved grip as a weak link. So I bought a new racquet and used it with this machine... now let's talk. I still suck but not as much. The trainer forces you to control the stick throughout the swing and makes it clear when you are not using it enough and the swing becomes second nature, which is what I was looking for. The design makes the trainer flexible, but you have to be careful when packing it or you could permanently bend it on the way to the track. This will drastically limit its usefulness. It's not a problem for me, but if you're traveling with him, keep that in mind.
