I have been using Chemex for over 8 years and have always used bleached/white filters. Sometimes round, sometimes square. No matter what I buy, they always impress me. They were of consistently good quality. This time I chose a natural model and was very disappointed. The filters feel thinner than I'm used to, allowing the filter to fold easily into the groove of the spout. The biggest problem, however, is the taste: I rinsed them in hot water, just like the filters I'm used to; but these filters gave my coffee a strong papery taste.
