Review on Inverter Upgraded Approval Controller Emergency by Ross Decoteau

When I travel it is very useful to have an inverter to power small AC appliances from my car's 12V DC battery. This is a very powerful inverter that has all the necessary circuitry to prevent damage from overheating (two automatic internal fans help), as well as from low battery input voltage or from over-voltage and overload. The included battery leads have thick copper wire that is actually soldered to the ring terminals - love that! Figures 1, 2 and 3 show what I got and the inverter ends up. Lower - P.5. Note the grounded AC outlets and the location where a ground wire can be attached to the chassis of the device (page 2, bottom right) which is excellent. The instructions are clear and well written. Figure 4 is a useful LCD display that shows current DC voltage (battery status), AC frequency, AC voltage, output power, battery level and 5 protection modes so I know the status of my battery, load and inverter. Easy to read and great information! This is a high quality inverter that also features a remote (wired) power switch and status indicator. I haven't used this for my application but it adds versatility and works great. This PSW (Pure Sine Wave) inverter is built like a tank! It also comes with detailed instructions, rubber mounting feet, 2 foot thick silicone insulated patch cords with ring terminals on each end and an 18 month warranty. I like it! I tried it with a 450W 110V AC drill that worked very well. It is safe for use with sensitive electronic equipment that requires "pure sine wave" alternating current instead of the less expensive "modified sine wave". I could easily use it to power almost any device other than a high impedance load (like a stove) as long as it's hooked up to a really good lead-acid battery. I would recommend the Deep Cycle AGM high capacity battery. The AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery is a car battery designed for two purposes: delivering high current inrush current pulses and running the electronics for a long time with an inverter like this. They are much more expensive, but they last much longer, have higher reliability and energy reserves. Let's assume that for regular use of this inverter in an RV, an AGM battery is worth the investment. This product has all CE certifications and looks very well made. For more detailed specifications, see the list. The 18-month limited warranty is a huge plus and very reassuring. You can purchase inverters with a different load/higher output from your dealer. Always plan for extra horsepower, as "starting" loads for things like an A/C compressor/fridge or engine can require up to 50% more horsepower to start. This high surge capacity (up to 3000W) can prevent the internal circuit breaker from tripping due to overload. I've seen cheaper inverters but none of them have the build quality of this one. I highly recommend this 1500W GIANDEL pure sine wave inverter upgraded with FCC approval. Converts 12V DC to 120V AC with LCD display. 3 sockets and remote control. 2 USB ports. for RVs, trucks, boats and emergency services. This is an excellent quality inverter!
