I have been a padlocker for almost 30 years. During this time I have hung tens of thousands of photographs, paintings, prints, paintings and mirrors. So when I saw this remedy, I was intrigued. Maybe it would just be a gadget to make hanging pictures even easier. Today I worked at home where I was able to hang 30 different pieces. I was interested in trying a new tool. I wanted to love this tool. It didn't go very well. 1: The tool is too short. Larger frames encroached on the handle, making it impossible to take a picture without moving the tool and losing its position on the wall.2. It was difficult for me to juggle the image and keep the instrument in the right position to make marks. Especially when I was on the stairs. 3: There is no way to align the tool with a mark previously placed on the wall, so you cannot get a specific height or left/right distance. 4: After hanging 17 paintings, I found that this tool took almost twice as long as a tape measure and drywall screw to drill a hole in the wall. 5: This tool only really works in very specific use cases. For example a small still image where the position can be more or less visual. If you can hang large or large paintings in precise shapes and read with a tape measure, you don't need this tool. Trust me, a tape measure and drywall screw is a lot quicker and easier. After 17 coats of paint I gave up, threw away the tool and went back to my tried and true methods. Shame. I wanted to make hanging photos easier and faster. I have found that the opposite is also true. For this tool to be truly useful, it would need to be able to take measurements on the fly to get an accurate and accurate hanging position. If I could put a painting on a tool, hold it against the wall and measure until I get it exactly where I want it, that would be great. I also have to mark the wall with the push of a button so I don't have to take a picture of the picture first. Do these 2 things and you will have something. Anyway, I don't find this tool very useful.
