Review on 🧳 Convenient Samsonite Casual Wheeled Laptop Overnighter for Effortless Travel by Johnny Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great size, functionality and quality

I was tired of lugging a briefcase AND a carry on for clothes so I did a lot of research to find a bag that offered the durability and thoughtful Design has and value I wanted. This bag fits all of these things and allows me to carry everything I need for a 1 or 2 day business trip in just one bag. Advantages: 1) This bag fits most airplane seats. Yes, I know we would prefer not to put the bag under the front seat because of the loss of legroom, but if you need a bag next to you - it's very nice that it fits under the seat. In fact, this bag fits so perfectly that it seems like the engineers did their homework and actually measured the little space under the seat to make sure it would fit. Many other bags like this are a few inches too thin. 2) Thoughtful compartments and pockets. This bag has a garment compartment with compression straps for a compact fit. It offers enough space for a pair of trousers and an extra shirt or two, as well as your 1 liter toiletry bag. It also has a padded laptop compartment (with a velcro strap to keep the laptop in place) with 3 large pockets for things like GPS, sunglasses, portable hard drive etc. The next compartment is a file compartment with a divider in the middle. . Then there is a large zippered pocket for gadgets, cables, pens, business cards, etc. Finally, there is a smaller pocket for boarding passes, papers, etc. 2) Excellent build quality. I have had a Samsonite briefcase very similar to this one for many years. I can confirm the quality of Samsonite. Their zippers are strong and durable even after years of everyday use. The material used in these bags is a durable Cordura-like material that will stand up to everyday use. Samsonite has also reinforced this bag in the right places. Although this bag is relatively new to me, I expect it to have the same durability as my other Samsonite bag. 3) Thoughtful design. The bag is fitted with a pair of high quality wheels which combined with the telescoping handle provide a biomechanically perfect way to roll the bag with minimal effort. I'm sure you've seen bags that have 4 wheels at the bottom. These bags are more of a trend than anything else in my opinion. With 4 wheels, these bags can roll in any direction, which is actually not always desirable, and when you tilt them to go fast, the other two wheels hang in the air. This Samsonite bag has a smarter design, only two built-in skate wheels, which is frankly more practical and convenient. When upright, the bag also has a long "leg" that keeps it perfectly upright without worrying about the bag falling. There are also plenty of hard plastic guards to protect the bag when climbing stairs or curbs. The telescopic handle can also be completely hidden under a zip cover as a briefcase. Cons: 1) As some other reviewers have mentioned, this bag has two handles that allow it to be lifted like a briefcase. You just grab the handles, hold them together and lift. While the handles are comfortable and work well, they also fold out to either side when not in use. There is a certain unaesthetic quality to this two-handled design, along with a certain slight discomfort. But I refuse because the bag is very valuable. 2) The bag is not designed for "checkpoint convenience". A security check bag is a bag that you don't need to remove your laptop from when queuing for security. Checkpoint-friendly bags usually open like a clam to allow for easy x-rays during security checks. Bags that aren't designed that way (like this one) will make you want to take out your laptop and throw it in the trash. Not that big of a problem because it's really very easy to make. But that's one less convenience in the security process. If you combine design and quality with the price, this bag offers excellent value for money. Let me know if this review helped you decide :)
