This is $1 for $40 plastic. I don't fit well in the pet door at all. When I tried to install it, the walls kept buckling and sliding in the opening. I solved the problem by filling the wall void around the dog door and expanding the wall with foam. I then installed the extension where I wanted and used a piece of wood to reinforce the walls before installing the foam. After that I used silicone around all the edges to seal everything. I'm a home remodeler, so having to do all that extra work for a $40 piece of plastic just annoys me. I think it would be difficult for the average homeowner to pull off this task. I probably should have just built this piece of wood
