I am new to hiking but upon reading reviews and suggestions on a Michigan fb hiking page, as well as on Best Buy, I decided I would try them. All of the reviews that I read on both pages were spot on. I also like that it protects the ankle from rolling. They truly are comfortable right out of the box. I've worn thicker socks for cold weather hiking and my feet didnt feel cramped at all. The larger toe box is also a big plus. I also like that these boots have adequate tread so as to prevent/minimize slipping or falling. These boots are comfortable and adequate for my casual hiking needs (although I'm sure they are also good for more intense hikes). I'm glad that I bought them and highly recommend them.
