Our very expensive AV receiver blew up during a movie night. I was afraid to buy another one until I noticed our original Fire TV had an audio-optical jack. With this cable I was able to use a very good 15 year old audio receiver to watch our movies. I just connected the HDMI directly from the projector to the Fire TV and the optical audio from the Fire to the receiver. Super cheap repair! Great sound with this cable!
