It clearly says two things. You can put more than one sandwich on it. Besides, no. I like the 180° platform for indoor grilling as we live in an apartment but I wanted other parts of my unit to work as well. I am extremely disappointed. I researched and found one at a price I could afford and thought it would be good based on what I read. I thought they should pay for good reviews, that explains why they were all good. Don't waste your time or money. An hour later, my guests, the three of them finally cooked their panini one at a time, constantly trying to flip them over so the top grill didn't push all the ingredients out of the sandwich as it refused to adjust to the advertised floating hinge. That does not work. So crazy.
